Colored Rice Starches pair surface-active with pigment-tinted grades to deliver controlled oil adsorption, antistatic brush-out and reliable spray behavior for aerosol dry-shampoos. In addition, REISITA dark brown and black options provide tinted solutions for personal-care formulations.

Primary application. D.S.A. 7 (and its coloured compounds) are designed as powder bases for aerosol dispensers; they combine adsorption and flowing properties to allow a stable spray and easy brush-out. Typical dispenser filling: 6–8% D.S.A. 7 by mass.
REISITA Dark Brown and REISITA Black 15% are supplied as pigment-containing rice-starch grades for coloured dry-shampoo formats and are offered in COSMOS-compliant variants where required.

How surface treatment and pigments shape aerosol performance
A light cationic surface treatment make D.S.A. 7 a surface-active rice starch: the coating reduces particle surface energy, dimethicone helps prevent particle agglomeration, and cetrimonium chloride provides antistatic charge control that enables rapid brush-out without residue.
Pigments (iron oxides) are incorporated as minute, silicone-compatible compounds so color is delivered without compromising adsorption or spray stability. Low moisture (<5–13% depending on grade) and proven flow characteristics mean D.S.A. 7 variants tolerate propellants and remain free-flowing.
AGRANA recommends aerosol dispenser fillings in the 6–8% range and careful evaluation of other solid additions that could affect spray behavior. For applications requiring naturality, REISITA colored grades offer options with mattifying and oil-control performance, making them suitable for tinted, conservative formulations.
